User Data Deletion Instructions

Effective date: August 3, 2026

Use the steps below to stop a connected platform account from sharing new data with Vortexia and, when required, request deletion of data already stored by Vortexia.

Disconnecting a channel and deleting stored history are separate actions. This distinction is important: disconnecting clears credentials and stops future processing, while existing local conversation history remains until a verified deletion request is completed.

1. Disconnect a channel in Vortexia

After confirmation, Vortexia attempts to unsubscribe the provider webhook where supported, disables AI handling and contact sharing, and clears the stored credentials for that connection. Existing messages and conversation records are not deleted by this action.

  1. Sign in to your Vortexia account.
  2. Open Workbench (工作台), then Channel Connections (渠道连接).
  3. Find the connected Facebook Page, Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, Google, Microsoft, Telegram, Viber or email account.
  4. Open its actions menu, choose Disconnect (断开连接), and confirm.

2. Revoke access at the provider

You may also revoke Vortexia in the connected provider's account or business-integration settings. For Facebook, open Settings & privacy, then Settings, locate Business integrations, select Vortexia and remove it. Provider labels can change over time, so consult the provider's current help center if these labels differ.

Revoking access at the provider prevents further API access but does not automatically delete conversation history already stored in Vortexia. Complete the deletion-request step below if you also want stored data removed.

3. Request deletion of stored Vortexia data

After verification, we will confirm the request and delete or irreversibly anonymize the in-scope connection metadata, stored conversations, messages and connector-created contact records from active systems, except information we must retain for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or legal obligations. Restricted backup or recovery copies, if present, expire through their normal lifecycle and are not returned to active use except for disaster recovery.

We will send completion confirmation to the verified contact. Processing time depends on request scope and applicable law.

  1. Email [email protected] from the email address associated with your Vortexia account or use the support channel available after signing in. Use the subject "User Data Deletion Request".
  2. Include your Vortexia username or account email, workspace or tenant name, connected provider, and the Page, account, bot, mailbox or public handle involved.
  3. State whether you want one connection and its conversations deleted or the entire Vortexia account and workspace data deleted. Do not send passwords, access tokens or bot keys.
  4. Complete the ownership or administrator verification we request. This protects account owners and message participants from unauthorized deletion requests.

4. Requests from people who messaged a Vortexia customer

If you contacted a business that uses Vortexia, contact that business first because it controls the purpose of the conversation. You may also email [email protected]. Identify the business or Page, the messaging platform, your platform user identifier or public handle, and the approximate conversation date. Do not send a password or access token. We may coordinate with the business and request verification before acting.

5. What deletion does not control

Deleting data from Vortexia does not delete copies that remain in the connected platform, the business customer's independent systems or a message recipient's account. Use the privacy and deletion controls offered by those parties for their copies.

For questions about the scope or status of a deletion request, contact [email protected] or use the in-platform support channel.
